Battle Chasers Returns via Video Game and Comic Relaunch

Joe Madureira fans have been dreaming for this day to come for the past 14 years... Battle Chasers is returning! Fans have pestered Joe to return to his creation for many years now and we've only seen bits and pieces here and there of our favourite characters (Battle Chasers Anthology, Comic Con Sketches of Monika, Gully, Knolan, Callibretto...). Joe has always said he wanted to come back to the series, but only when the time was right. It's a sigh of relief that he kept the promise because now is the time! Not only is he returning to the comic, but it's becoming a game by Airship Syndicate (made up of Ex-Vigil Games members) and possibly an animated series. Here's the interview from Polygon.com Battle Chasers returning as a game and comic book Fourteen years after putting the ninth issue of comic book Battle Chasers to bed, Joe Madureira is pulling it out of retirement. And he's bringing it back as both a comic and a game. In the late '90s, Mad

Airship Syndicate Early Teaser Revealed

The speculation was right! A storm has arrived... prepare for Battle!   See the *official* reveal tomorrow on Polygon.com at 9AM CST! For now, see the warrior who has returned for his legendary blade.

Airship Syndicate Game Announcement Expected Soon

There could be some very exciting news coming in the next few days about what the first game title will be from Airship Syndicate. Joe has posted this teaser image on twitter and has said he's dying to tell his fans. The image looks like Garrison's sword from Battle Chasers and Joe's current twitter profile picture is of Garrison... sounds too good to be true! The sword could also be the Chaos eater from Darksiders.... the image has a dark vibe about it. Here are a few images of Garrison's sword from the Battle Chasers graphic novel. As you can see from a page in issue 5 the cross guard of the sword can change shape and it looks very similar to the sword in the Airship Syndicate teaser image. I'll keep you posted on any news that is revealed!

Battle Chaser's homage: Duelyst Caliber-O

A kickstarter game, Duelyst, paid tribute to Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers by including a character model very similar to Calibretto! Thought it was a pretty cool thing to share. This week we're very excited to pay homage to one of our favorite artists by developing a special in-game battle unit called Caliber-O, a distant relative to the original battle unit (err, chaser). This artist has impacted our team so much in the last two decades as we recall trudging through rain and snow every week to the local comic book store to pick up our latest precious issues. Character Concept Art: Caliber-O Don't get mad if you can't figure out the artist we're paying homage to :P
